Just a Thought: Can schools go 100% digital?

As a High School Senior who depends on technology 99% of the time to get school work done, I began wondering could schools go COMPLETELY digital and eliminate the need for print textbooks and paper notebooks and folders.

If you think about it, we can go completely virtual with textbooks with the invention of the IPad or Nook. The IPad has highlighting and annoting features now so thats covered. Also with the ever note app if your on the go and only have your IPad you can type out a few quick notes right on the IPad and sync them up with your Laptop or Desktop when you get home. Which eliminates the need for paper notebooks, and folders. Or if you not into evernote Microsoft Word for Mac and PC work well for note taking as well not to mention Microsoft Word has some nice Highlighting and Annotation features. As far as time management and organization the IPhone and IPod Touch has some really nice agenda apps that work much like a paper agenda would.

All these factors lead me to think that students would be better off going totally digital in there schooling. With todays technology there is really no need for the outdated method of print textbooks, paper notebooks and folders, and paper agendas. For me personally since I already do much of my schoolwork on the computer it would just make things easier if it were all digital. I would love to hear your opinion.
